The Team


The Fixedia team is based in London and Goa and is made up of a team of dedicated and talented IT, design, marketing, finance and tea-making professionals. With everyone in the office being involved in coming up with new ideas to enhance the features and develop the site, Fixedia.com really is a team effort!

Founder & Managing Director


Suki Johal is the managing director of Fixedia which she founded in 2008. Before starting Fixedia, Suki worked in the broadcast industry for the BBC and a number of independent production companies. She holds a bachelors degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds and a MSc. in International Relations from the University of Bristol.

The story behind Fixedia...

"I was working on a story about the Indian economy and becoming increasingly frustrated by the time it was taking to get in touch with relevant journalists, companies and a good crew in different parts of the country. I started to think about how much time and energy could be saved if there was a one-stop website where I could find relevant people in the media, contact the relevant companies for my story and recruit in different counties... and so the wheels were set in motion for Fixedia.

Initially I spent a great deal of time talking to colleagues and media professionals in different industries to get their thoughts/feedback on the idea. The overriding opinion was that a media networking platform should: make it easy to contact people and companies in different media industries, provide access to relevant news and showcase both the individual and the company.

....and so the Fixedia journey began!"
